С. Сковороди).</lido:descriptiveNoteValue>

<lido:descriptiveNoteValue>An openwork plate, leaf-shaped (almond-shaped), its silhouette derived from the mandorla-halo (prabhāmaṇḍala) of Buddhist sculpture. The plate is mounted on a stem with a spherical "apple" and a domed stand in the form of a stylized inverted lotus. Against a backdrop of lush floral interlace are placed the seven treasures of the universal monarch, the chakravartin (Sanskrit saptaratna, Tibetan rgyal srid sna bdun, Chinese 七珍) — a canonical set of offerings: at the top, the precious wheel (the Buddha's teaching); to its left and right, the precious elephant (endurance and strength) and the precious horse (the swift spread of the Dharma); at the center, the precious minister, crowned, his palms joined in a gesture of reverence; at the lower left, the precious queen; at the lower right, the precious general; at the bottom center, the precious jewel (chintamani) amid tongues of flame. Between the wheel and the central figure is placed a bat with a pearl — a Chinese auspicious motif (蝠, "bat," a homophone of 福, "happiness").

The object forms a pair with M-653 (the "eight auspicious symbols"): in the Tibetan Buddhist practice of Qing-dynasty China, the sets of "seven treasures" and "eight auspicious symbols" (七珍八宝) were displayed on the altar table as a paired set of offerings.

The object comes from the pre-war (pre-1941) part of the collection of the Kharkiv Historical Museum (in the 1920s to early 1930s, the Sloboda Ukraine Museum named after H. S. Skovoroda).</lido:descriptiveNoteValue>
