Він простягає праву руку Адаму, який стоїть на колінах у труні ліворуч, а ліву руку- Єві, яка стоїть на колінах у труні праворуч. За спиною Адама праотці. Крайній ліворуч зображений майже на повний зріст (до ступнів), у звороті 3/4 праворуч; він простягає праву руку до Ісуса Христа. Середній зображений постегнево, у звороті 3/4 праворуч. Зображення крайнього праворуч погрудне, у звороті 3/4 ліворуч. Праотці одягнуті у хітони і гіматії, над головами - німби. За спиною Єви пророки. Зображення крайнього праворуч погрудне, у звороті 3/4 ліворуч, праву руку він притиснув до грудей, на його голові маленька шапочка. Середній зображений поколінно, у звороті 3/4 ліворуч, його ліва рука простягнута до Ісуса Христа, на голові корона. Крайній ліворуч зображений погрудно, у звороті 3/4 праворуч; його ліва рука притиснута до грудей, на голові корона. Пророки одягнені у хітони і гіматії, над головами - німби. Над головою Ісуса Христа червоний восьмикінцевий хрест, праворуч і ліворуч від якого по янголу з омофорами у руках. Праворуч угорі брама раю. Ісус Христос ногами спирається на хрест, під ним чорне провалля - пекло, на фоні якого зображені стулки брами пекла, розірвані кайдани, ліворуч угору піднімаються праведники- три постаті. Праворуч унизу ще одне зображення Ісуса Христа у променях сяйва; він зображений поколінно у звороті 3/4 ліворуч, одягнений у хітон і гіматій, над головою - хрещатий німб. Правою рукою Христос благословляє. Унизу перед ним піднімаються з пекла воїни. Ікона написана у неглибокому ковчезі на дошці, переважають жовто-брунатні фарби. Поле рамки вкрите металевим окладом, який прикрашений рослинним орнаментом. По периметру окладу крапковий орнамент. На звороті дошка скріплена двома урізними горизонтальними шпонками. Ікона належала до колекції Музею Слобідської України імені Г.С. Сковороди. Легенда: Воскресіння Христове — символ перемоги Христа над смертю, що принесла людству визволення від рабства гріха та відкрила шлях до духовного оновлення. Євангелісти не залишили опису самого моменту Воскресіння, адже ніхто з людей не був безпосереднім свідком цієї події. Саме тому в православній іконографічній традиції Воскресіння передається через образ «Зішестя до пекла», що ґрунтується на Священному Писанні та Переданні. Ісус Христос у сяйві мандорли постає як Переможець, Який зруйнував брами пекла та розірвав його кайдани. Простягаючи руки Адаму й Єві, Він відкриває шлях до спасіння всього людства. The prophets wear chitons and himations, with halos above their heads. Above Christ's head is a red eight-pointed cross, flanked by an angel on each side, each holding an omophorion. At the upper right is the gate of Paradise. Christ's feet rest on the cross; beneath him is a black abyss — Hell, against which the leaves of Hell's gate are shown, broken chains, and, rising to the upper left, three figures of the righteous. At the lower right is another image of Christ amid rays of radiance; he is shown knee-length, in a three-quarter turn to the left, wearing a chiton and himation, with a cruciform halo above his head. Christ blesses with his right hand. Below, before him, soldiers rise up from Hell. The icon is painted within a shallow recessed "ark" on a panel; yellow-brown tones predominate. The field of the frame is covered with a metal riza decorated with a floral ornament. Around the perimeter of the riza is a dotted ornament. On the reverse, the panel is reinforced with two inset horizontal battens. The icon belonged to the collection of the Sloboda Ukraine Museum named after H. S. Skovoroda. Legend: the Resurrection of Christ is a symbol of Christ's victory over death, which brought humanity deliverance from the bondage of sin and opened the way to spiritual renewal. The Evangelists left no description of the moment of the Resurrection itself, since no human being directly witnessed the event. For this reason, in Orthodox iconographic tradition, the Resurrection is conveyed through the image of the "Descent into Hell," grounded in Holy Scripture and Tradition. Jesus Christ, in the radiance of the mandorla, appears as the Victor, who has destroyed the gates of Hell and broken its chains. Stretching out his hands to Adam and Eve, he opens the way to the salvation of all humankind.
