Description

The book was printed in 1841.

Printed in two colors. Contains an introductory text set within an ornamental frame of floral motifs. After the introduction, the table of contents is printed. Foliation appears in the upper right corner, catchwords in the lower right corner, signatures at the bottom center. The book's ornamentation is complemented by headpieces, tailpieces, and initials. The cover is of stiff cardboard, covered in gray calico, decorated with a stamped ornamental frame, at whose center is a depiction of a cross. The spine is of leather.

The book bears inscriptions concerning its provenance. On the left flyleaf is an ownership note in black pencil: "Property of Archpriest V. Yavorsky."

On the title page is a handwritten text in blue ink: "Stepnoi Lane, No. 34, Apt. 6 / Elizaveta Vladimirovna Portianova."

On the reverse of the last page is a handwritten text in brown ink: "Donated by the rector of the Church of the Nativity of Christ, Archpriest Dimitrii Fedorovsky, as a keepsake for this church. August 6, 1878. City of Kharkiv."

The book was transferred to the museum by ZhEK (Housing Maintenance Office) No. 3 of the Malyshev Plant, following the death of Olha Vsevolodivna Kakhovska of Kharkiv.
