Description

The icon shows a half-length, frontal image of Jesus Christ with long hair and a small beard; around his head is a halo in the form of a shimmering glow. Christ wears a red chiton, with a dark-green himation draped over his left shoulder; his right hand is raised in blessing, his left rests on the celestial orb. The background is a translucent brown. In the upper corners are the inscriptions "IIS" and "KHRS." The image's frame is marked by a brown band. The icon panel is reinforced with inset end battens.

The icon was kept by residents of the village of Bilyi Kolodiaz, Krasnokutsk district, Kharkiv region. It was donated to the museum by M. T. Filatova of Kharkiv in 1991.
