Collection group
Film and sound recordings
The inventory group “Film and Sound Documents” is the smallest in the museum and numbers 35 items.
About the group
The collection comprises 30 gramophone records of various periods and 5 flexi-discs of the 1950s made at domestic and foreign record factories.
The most interesting of them are pre-revolutionary records with recordings by well-known performers such as M. Bolshakov, P. Tykhonov and Ye. Katulska.
Records of the Soviet period differ both in technical perfection and in the variety of their repertoire. They include excerpts from operas, orchestral music and songs by foreign and domestic performers, among them Rashid Beibutov, Catherine Sauvage, M. Aleksandrovych, Rosita Quintana, Maiia Kristalinska, Leonid Utesov and others.
