Description
Women's shirt for a pidtychka, body of fine linen canvas, hem of coarse homespun hemp canvas. Straight silhouette. Sleeve with insert and gusset, gathered with 'puffs,' gathered at the bottom with trim. Body and inserts gathered at the neckline. Round neckline with a slit at the center front, placket trimmed with narrow trim. Insert embroidered with red and black cotton in 'cross-stitch' with a floral ornament. Hem decorated with a narrow strip of openwork mesh. Provenance: Sewn and embroidered by Danylenko, a resident of the village of Rubizhne, Vovchansk district.
